Get gitta on your machine.

Install gitta with one line, or download a binary for your system. gitta is free and open source, and your repository stays a normal Git repository.

macOS and Linux
curl -fsSL https://gitta.io/install.sh | sh
Windows, in PowerShell
irm https://gitta.io/install.ps1 | iex
Homebrew
brew install gitta-io/tap/gitta

The install script picks the build for your system, checks it against its SHA-256 file and puts gitta on your PATH. Read the install guide

Or download a binary.

Pick the build for your system and processor. Beside every file sits a .sha256 checksum, so you can verify what you downloaded before you run it.

macOS

Apple silicon for M series Macs, Intel for older ones. Unpack the archive and move gitta onto your PATH.

Linux

These builds are static and need no libraries. They run on any current distribution.

Windows

Unzip the archive and put gitta.exe in a folder on your PATH. gitta needs Git for Windows.

These links are for 0.1.0. For the newest build, see all releases.

Then run it.

Four steps take you from the archive to your first checked merge.

  1. 01Unpack

Open the archive you downloaded. Inside is one file, the gitta command.

  2. 02Put it on PATH

Move gitta into a folder your shell already looks in, so you can run it from anywhere.

  3. 03Check it

Run gitta --version. It prints the version you installed.

  4. 04Set up a repository

In your repository, run gitta init --gate "<your tests>". gitta runs those tests on every merge.

One command, and your agents work as a team.

Install gitta, then run one command in your repository. It finds your worktrees and connects the agents you already use.
